This release includes a number of new features, as well quality improvements and bug fixes.

Please see below for the details of what is included in this release.

Major Enhancements

  • Smart Templates
Smart templates enables an editing experience where a user can capture a geometry, enter in properties and this information will be used to automatically create all component features, even if they are in multiple layers in the map.
  • HTML Overlay Feedback
HTML overlay feedback allows HTML to be overlaid on the map, along with graphics and ‘HTML’ labels to be added to the map.
  • Right Hand Panels
Ability to adds right hand panels. This enables users to have a split screen mode whereby editors can see two maps or a map and a scene. The right hand panel is transitory and shouldn’t be used for charts or tables, instead the custom panels option should be used.
  • Support ArcGIS Utility Network Schema Generation 4
Utility Network Editor supports ArcGIS Utility Network Schema Generation 4 including support for viewing, editing and tracing non spatial features.
  • Support for Viewing, Editing and Tracing Non Spatial features
This includes support for two modes of creation; Choose and Network Panel. In addition there is an X-ray mode which allows users to drill into connected/contained features and select the correct feature to make associations with.
  • Mouseover Feedback
Map feedback can now be configured to work on mouseover. This means users get feedback even quicker as they can get alerted as they come closer to specified features without having to click near them.
  • Subtype Rendering
Each asset type layer within asset group layers now have their own symbology and visibility threshold

Important Information

  • Known Issue with Version 5 Schema Support
Utility Network Editor has the ability to view, edit and trace version 5 schemas published from ArcGIS Enterprise 10.9 and above. However, if the service has been published with a vertical coordinate system it is not supported within Utility Network Editor as any edits will be transformed incorrectly. This is a known issue which is being worked on for a future release.
    There are two workarounds;
    • Do not use a vertical coordinate system
    • Change the webmap’s basemap to the same projection as the Utility Network Service.
