Z enabled UNE for ArcGIS
The build number for this release is:
9.0.35893
The Z enabled release of UNE for ArcGIS includes the following:
Important Information
Known Issue: Z calculation script removal
When layers in which Z calculation arcade scripts are set and then subsequently removed, there is a known issue relating to vertex reshaping where attempting to edit Z values is not possible due to the Z entry remaining in a greyed-out state (as is the case when a script is set). This issue will be resolved in a future release.Â
Major Enhancements
- Z enabled applications
UNE applications created in this version are Z enabled by default. There is the option to switch off Z enablement ifÂ
required. Users can also convert any existing UNE applications made in previous versions to be Z enabled.
- Ability to configure the ground surface of an app
Users can choose an elevation service. This allows the application to find the ground height at any location. The default elevation is the Esri World Elevation Service however builder users can also choose an elevation service that is available from within their portal.
- Digitising and reshaping features
When a user wants to digitise a feature and capture Z values, they can now edit and capture Z values on each vertex. Users are also able to edit/reshape existing features with Z values. UNE ruler mode will label the Z values for the feature as the user digitises.
- Snapping
When snapping to vertices that are stacked (on top of one another), UNE will ask the user to choose the vertex they wish to snap to.Â
- New Z Specific Topology Rules
It is possible to set Z alignment of features and determine Z calculation (Z is now an attribute that values can be calculated on).
- Z enabled trace
Trace has been Z enabled to follow the flow/connectivity of assets in the UN.
- Z enabled follow tool
Follow Mode has been updated to follow features whilst inputting/obtaining Z values.
- Supported File Uploads
Applications can now be configured to support the uploading of various file formats including: CSV, Shapefile, GeoJSON, and GPX files. CSV files can be downloaded through custom panel support.
- UI/UX Changes
A number of UI/UX changes to account for the new Z functionality.
- Upgrade to JS API
Z enabled UNE is now using JS API v4.33.

Highlighted Bug Fixes
BUG-88256: Launching apps from builder – login prompt – Users are no longer always prompted to log in when directly launching applications in Builder.BUG-90723: Features created using server-side attribute rules are not displaying correctly – When digitising a feature, the geometry of that feature will be updated on-screen if it has been adjusted by server-side rules, regardless of whether it is a new or existing feature.BUG-92855: Selecting a dirty area causes the properties panel to display incorrectly – When creating a dirty area and then selecting it, this caused the properties panel to display “There are no properties in common”.
